What are the Most Common Eye Problems?

What Should I Expect During Eye Exams?

Eye exams should be completed annually (at least once per year). Our optometrists are highly skilled and take pride in ensuring that you receive routine optimum ocular health screenings annually with our comprehensive and intermediate eye examinations including treatment plans and follow up care. The optometrist:

  • Checks your standard eye functions
  • Determine refractive prescriptions (with Visual Acuity Testing)
  • Performs a physical eye health screening to examine eye structure and tissues
  • Test to detect diseases in advance to prevent damage to your eyes without rapid care

What is a Diabetic Retinopathy Exams?

If you have diabetes, it is important to have a Diabetic eye exam completed as a part of your total diabetes care.

Diabetes affects many parts of the body, including your eyes. There is an increased risk for eye conditions such as:

  • Glaucoma
  • Cataracts
  • Development of diabetic retinopathy (major concern)

Our optometrist works in a care team environment with our diabetes specialist and primary care physicians to coordinate your treatment plan and monitoring of your diabetes to control your diabetic outcomes.

What Should I Expect During Contact Lens Exams and Fittings?

Do you live an active lifestyle, play sports, or just want to do without your eyeglasses from time to time? If so, let our Optometry team get you started! This exam is separate from your routine eye exam and is available for those who want to have an alternative option to correcting their common vision problems and refractive errors. Our optometrist specializes in ensuring that you get the best fit and most hassle-free contact lenses available. We have an array of contact lenses and products from top leading manufacturers including:

  • Bausch and Lomb
  • Alcon (Ciba)
  • Cooper Vision


In addition, our contact lens pricing is competitive with next day and home delivery options available.

Eyeglass Services

You can customize your eyeglasses by choosing from an assortment of coatings, filters, lens materials, and other custom options. We have a wide collection of affordable and unique designer frames for you to choose from that matches your personality and style. And because we care about our community, when you buy two pairs of glasses, we will donate a pair to someone less fortunate.

Affordable Optometry Services

St. Hope Foundation provides affordable Optometry services to the community. We provide services for a selection of Insurance Plans and self-pay options are available to our underinsured and uninsured patients based on your individual income status (proper documentation is required). We also have bundled package options to satisfy your needs.
