Dr. Vicky Patel was born and raised in Richmond, VA. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. After graduating, Dr. Patel spent his early career in private practice, but desires to transition into community health to serve those less fortunate.
As his patient, you can expect a thorough and gentle exam to have a positive experience. He tailors a treatment plan specific to your unique needs and wants, and together we will help you achieve improved oral health. In his free time, Dr. Patel loves participating in sports, hiking and biking, playing video games, watching movies and shows, cooking with his wife, and hanging out with family and friends (especially to explore local attractions and restaurants).

What inspired you to become a Dentist?
I was inspired to become a dentist after my personal experience with meeting and receiving treatment by my childhood orthodontist. His engaging personality, motivation and abundance of knowledge assured me that I should aspire to become a similar professional. The goals I setup since my early decision are to become a role model for future dentists, create a comfortable dental environment, and provide compassionate service to patients facing adverse situations.
What is your philosophy on patient care?
Patient care to me means providing education and impacting lives. It also means addressing what really matters to the patient - comfort in being heard. Patients care about a positive-attitude work environment and that’s important to see and hear as well. I vow to devote my career to achieving clinical excellence through evidence-based dentistry whether the patient’s ultimate decision is cosmetic, financially, or time-based driven.
What brought you to St. Hope?
I am interested in expanding St. Hope’s mission and goals in the community, can undoubtedly serve excellent patient care with a wide range of services, and would feel fortunate if this organization recognizes my confidence in being an excellent fit with a growing relationship. I would love the opportunity to have this experience define a large part of my career and legacy.
